PROBLEM:

Corrosion on the steel moulds and rust stains on the precast items

Corrosion may be due to many causes, which is why it is often difficult for precast producers to identify the specific cause in their production process. In many cases, the causes of corrosion are also outside the control of the producer (such as modified cement compositions). However, the precast producer is responsible for any consequences, such as customer complaints or damaged moulds.

For this reason, Ecoratio has continuously improved its range of Betopro® release agents and added effective options for corrosion protection. These Betopro® types contain various “cocktails” of corrosion inhibitors and cover a very wide range of causes of corrosion.

At the 53rd BetonTage congress held in Ulm, Ecoratio was awarded the 2009 Innovation Prize for this product improvement.
