Our history

In the 1990s, the construction industry was still mainly using mineral oil-based, solvent-containing release agents.

Lisette van de Riet was firmly convinced that she could develop premium-quality, water-based concrete release agents. Release emulsions that yield the same or even better results than mineral oil-based reference products whilst being environmentally friendly and non-hazardous to health. Driven by this desire, Lisette founded her company in 1998.

Since then, Ecoratio BV has been evolving continuously to become a company that operates successfully on a global scale, offering a portfolio of 18 different release emulsions and benefiting from a constantly growing, satisfied customer base and several industry awards.
